November Sunshine

With the weather this November still in the mid 20’s its not too late to discuss which are the best beaches close to Roda Golf. While Roda itself is in Los Alcazares, just minutes’ drive to the beaches of the Mar Menor there is certainly everything you need already but some may prefer to venture out and try somewhere new!

With the shores of the Mediterranean along the beautiful Costa Calida – the location of the villas, apartments and townhouses at Roda Golf are almost central to the Mar Menor and benefit from both, with the beaches of the Mediterranean starting at San Pedro del Pinitar to the North and Cabo de Palos to the South.

Some places you may want to try!

  • Spinosa Beach Bar. This is in Los Narejos on the Mar Menor, just minutes from Roda Golf and directly beside the Nueva Ribera Beach Club properties. It hosts an array of activities and lessons from kitesurfing to paddle boarding and does great food and beach beds for rent! Plus is open all round.
  • Playa del Mojon (San Pedro del Pinitar)  San Pedro offers beaches on both the Mar Menor and Mediterranean side, Playa del Mojon is awarded with the ‘blue flag’ due to its facilities and natural location. It is situated on the environmentally protected area of parque regional de Salinas and its soft sandy beach is an average of 50m wide. It is lifeguarded during peak summer and has disabled access and facilities.
  • La Cala, La Manga Club. This private cove has a secret and exclusive feel as you access via La Manga Club resort. After driving through the immaculate properties you descend a mountain road with beautiful views emerging at the beautiful cove of La Cala. Rustic in feel it overs stunning snorkeling in the Mediterranean water, a fantastic restaurant and beach beds to rent.
  • 1975, La Manga Strip. This can be a fun experience if you choose to take the ferry across the Mar Menor from San Javier, adds a little extra to the day out! Great reputation for food and atmosphere and a beautiful beach. You can also drive from Roda, it would take around 25 minutes, there’s a great choice of beaches to stop at along La Manga Strip and out of season you’ll find it easy to park and lots of space.
